Meta's Nick Clegg and Joel Kaplan to step down from key roles

Meta’s President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg and Vice President of Global Public Policy Joel Kaplan are stepping down from their roles at the company, according to an internal memo from CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Clegg, who joined Meta (formerly Facebook) in 2018, will leave the company after helping to transition his responsibilities. Kaplan, who has been with the company since 2011, will also depart after helping to transition his role. Zuckerberg praised both executives for their contributions and leadership during a “crucial period” for Meta. The departures come as Meta faces significant challenges, including slowing revenue growth, increased competition, and regulatory scrutiny. Zuckerberg said the company will restructure its policy and communications teams under a new leader who will be announced soon.
