A new study published in the journal Science has shed light on the remarkable longevity of Greenland sharks, suggesting that these marine creatures may live for centuries. The findings indicate that one of the sharks was around 392 years old, while another was approximately 512 years old, making it the longest-lived vertebrate known to science.
